Who Brwngirl?

My name is Gabrielle Mabra!

I am a aspiring Multi-Media Journalist at the University of Louisville. I am pursuing Communications with a minor in Marketing. I love listening to music in my free time and creating new content for my podcast Brwngirl Gabby.

A little bit more about me.

I am a passionate about utilizing my gifts to make the world a better place. I want to use my voice to create community and inclusivity through my platforms within my career. It’s important to understand other people perspective when it comes to various social issues. You can’t live my life and I can’t live yours but there is inner connectivity amongst us both when it comes to the humanity amongst us all. Through utilizing my gifts, I want to bring awareness and understanding throughout society . Currently, I am the President of the National Association of Black Journalist and a Freshman Mentor on my school’s campus while volunteering throughout my community .

I am ambitious and inspired to push myself to reach my full potential spiritually, physically and mentally. Through my spiritual journey I am learning how to come into my full power. As I grow , I enjoy sharing these gems with my audience and creating a community of empowering people to connect with and grow together. In my free time, I enjoy traveling around the world and meeting new people and enjoying new experiences.

I enjoy taking risk in all my ventures and making myself uncomfortable so I can learn something new. This is another reason why I enjoy journalism , it’s a career that’s constantly changing and pushing the limits of your skills but simultaneously you can experience new adventures and new people that are constantly providing a new inspiring perspective. Ten years from now, I see myself with my own talk show speaking on women empowerment, social issues and spiritual guidance. I aspire to make a difference in this world and invest 100% of myself into my gifts .

Let’s make something together.
